Update on Grey Sir Cat

We went to the clinic last night to deliver the amazing donations we've received. And, thankfully, we discovered Grey Sir Cat was happily adopted by a loving veterinarian. The woman who adopted him is exceedingly kind, and was deeply grateful and appreciative for the donations, as she is on her own to finance the surgery for Grey Sir Cat. She is bottle-feeding him around the clock, as he needs it, and he gets around in a baby sling that she wears. He's not able to move around a lot because his back leg is basically bent in half. He's too young right now to go under anesthesia, so his amputation will take place within the next month or so.

We are all very appreciative and thankful for every donation we received! It's truly a miracle my mom and I saw this cat next to the highway, on a route home we don't normally take, and we were all able to save its little life. Thank you so much! God bless!!

Pictures to the Story

Here's a picture of the kitten we saved. And, another update: the leg is going to have to be amputated - it was basically broken in half and is just dangling from skin and muscle. He's about 3 weeks old, needs bottlefed regularly, and has diahrrea.

The vet had said beforehand in an off-manner way, who would want a three-legged cat. We're doing everything we can with fundraising to help him out.

We're still raising for his hospital care - if you or anyone you know could consider helping Grey Sir Cat out, words could not express how much it is so deeply and gratefully appreciated.

The veternarian taking care of Grey Sir Cat won't be in until Wednesday. From our understanding apparently she takes him home because no one at the hospital is there to treat him. As much as we can say about it now, we're still raising money to pay for his hospital care, and get him a good home. :)

Thank you everyone who has donated, and is consider donating! Every cent is truly and greatly appreciated!

Update on Grey Sir Cat....

The vet called us to tell us that our kitten is actually a BOY! So, he will be going by Grey Sir Cat now.

Hes been through x-rays and deworming - which has was filled with. And, his little back leg, is not only shattered, it's not even attached to the hip. He's been put on bed rest for 3-4 weeks still, which may result in some healing. However, it may be inevitable for amputation or surgery still to correct his leg. We're looking at paying off his hospital bill.

Unfortunately, at this moment, we haven't been able to get a picture of him because the clinic has been busy, and the vet who has the Grey Sir under her care hasn't been easy to get in contact with. We're trying to head down to the clinic soon to get a photo - wish us luck.

Help Us Save Grey Lady Cat

Driving home from running errands on July 25th, 2012, my mom and I spotted a tiny cat in the middle of a small grassy field between an abandoned house and small trip of outlet shops. We immediately pulled over, and walked towards where we had seen this kitten. Upon getting closer, we say that it was the tiniest baby kitten - with the sweetest blue eyes, small white paws, and making the tiniest meows.

My mom, who has had experience saving animals before, carefully picked up the kitten, and we went back to the car. Our plan was to take her home, and give her a place to stay for the night until we could see a vet, check if she had worms, adopt, etc.

As luck would have it we found an emergency animal hospital, and took her in. Upon examining her, the vet said that this little cat was apparently kicked or slammed into, and has a broken back leg.

We had to leave her there to get taken care of. The vets informed us, calling our house, that the cat's leg is pretty much shattered. They are hoping that because of her age, and after bed rest, she may not need it. However, it is likely she would have a limp for the rest of her life

I do not have a personal photo of the cat because I did not have my camera with me, and I do not have smartphone/cellphone that takes pictures. We are planning to return to the vet, to see her, and hopefully get a picture of her.

But our story of saving this kitten is legitimate. We are seeking donations because we hope to pay for the kittens hospital care, and give it a good, loving home. Would you consider donating - even a penny would help enormously and gratefully!

The donation button is located on the right, and this blog will be updated with more information as we find it out! THANK YOU!
